Research on large-scale wind power consumption in the electricity market considering demand response and energy storage systems

Large-scale wind power integration brings great challenges to system operation. The use of large-scale in the electricity market has become a concern for many researchers. Demand response (DR) and energy storage systems (ESSs) play crucial roles consumption power. In this paper, detailed DR model is established, including price-based demand (PBDR) incentive-based (IBDR). IBDR contains load shifting (LS) curtailment (LC). study not only includes its bidding clearing but also relevant constraints: maximum/minimum duration time, shifting/curtailment gap frequency. A two-stage trading method, day-ahead (DA) real-time (RT) market, proposed. method various participants: conventional units (CUs), rapid adjustment (RAUs), power, ESS, multiple types DR. economic benefits participants are analyzed an IEEE 30 bus system, verifying accuracy validity model. best scale suggestions ESS given. results show that proposed can effectively utilize decrease costs.
